So occasionally I like to take things I find off the road or at thrift stores and mke them new again.
Ok, so I am a LITTLE obsessed with it. My garage is FULL of "projects" here are just a few.
We recently moved into this house so there are a lot of walls to fill and not a lot of money to fill them :)
Time to get CREATIVE!
This was my first DIY project(s).
See the credenza under my tv??
I got that off of craigslist for 40 bucks! It had several coats of paint on it and it looked a mess! I loved the look of it though. I brought it home, sanded it, gave it a fresh coat of paint and then decopauged the top with pictures of my family.
See the coffee table??
I decided it needed to match so I took it outside as well and sanded, painted black, and decopauged the top with pictures of the family.
This was my FAVORITE find!
I got this off of a local buy and sell site for 10 bucks!! I loved the spindiling and the over all look of this table.
Here it was BEFORE!
Amazing to see what some sanding and a coat of gray *oops paint* can do!!
The Sunday Funnies!!
This was a really fun project that I did in my boys room. I wanted to add some color to their walls without painting or doing anything perfect. Since I coupon I had tons of papers in my garage. I used the comic section of those papers. All I did was use double sided tape to stick them to the walls and then decopauge to seal the corners. It was really simple and my kids went crazy over it!!!
BTW....see the little table in the corner?? Another 10 dollar table that I made into a media console for the boys!!
Old Bifold Closet Door and Vanity Cabinet Door!
Recently my dad decided to get rid of some closet doors and an old vanity. I had to have them!! I had a place for them right away!!! I thought to myself shelf and artwork for my living room!! Free and SCORE!!
So Again, a little sandpaper some paint a knob and wood letter from Hobby Lobby and we are in business!!!
I'm in love with it!! I have actually made some changes to the decor on the shelf and I will take pics of that soon!!
This is the latest project. It was a $20.00 find at a thrift store. We wanted to use it as an art and schoolwork table but it turned out better like this......
Computer table and accent bench! (the matching one is in the entry way) I coordinated them so they could be used together at some point. I love the ice blue! I think it turned out beautifully!! Notice the lamp? That got a makeover too!
Now on to the next project.....I need a coffee table....
